Staff Testimonials

  • I have been employed by Little Works in Progress for approximately 8 months. I have worked in many different settings including acute care, outpatient rehab, long-term care facilities, home health, and public schools and have over 30 years’ experience. I can honestly say that this is my favorite job ever. Our office staff are all top notch. My co-workers are quickly becoming great friends, and we have a great work environment. The documentation software is the easiest I’ve ever used and makes such a difference when I’m able to complete my daily notes promptly and not have to take work home. LWIP (Leesville) is a very busy clinic that provides ST, OT, and ABA services. There are many days that we see clients back-to-back in order to get everyone the services they need, so some days are extremely busy, but I personally prefer to be busy.

The company offers very competitive pay with paid time off. I very highly recommend this place if you are looking for a fun, busy, great place to work.

  • I have worked at Little Works for about 1.5 years total and I have had a great experience here! The staff is fantastic to work with as all disciplines collaborate together. I have felt supported throughout my time here and my thoughts and opinions are heard. There is a good work/life balance and my family has been supported throughout my time here. I have had great growth opportunities and learned so much here! The clinic is a great atmosphere and this is such a rewarding field!

I was able to grow from an RBT and earn a position as a BCBA.

  • Starting my career as a speech-language pathologist in a private practice setting has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made. As a new graduate, I was initially nervous about transitioning into the professional world, but this practice has provided an incredibly supportive and encouraging environment that has helped me thrive.

What I love most about working in private practice is the opportunity to build close, consistent relationships with my clients and their families. I see steady progress and real-life impact, and it's so amazing to watch communication grow and confidence build session by session. The flexibility I have with my caseload also allow me to tailor therapy to each individual in creative and meaningful ways.

The team here is collaborative and welcoming! I have loved getting to know all of my coworkers. The other speech therapists and occupational therapists were so welcoming and answered any question I had. Working side-by-side with OTs has expanded my understanding of sensory integration and motor planning—helping me approach communication challenges more holistically.

Private practice has also given me exposure to a wide variety of cases—from early intervention to school-aged children with complex needs—and I’ve learned so much in such a short amount of time. It’s the perfect environment for a motivated new grad who wants to build strong clinical skills while making a tangible difference in clients’ lives.

I’m genuinely excited to come to work each day, and I’m so grateful to have started my SLP career in a place that values compassion, competence, and continuous learning.

  • I’ve been employed as a Speech Therapist at Little Works for 12 years now. I will tell you now that I am a picky person, and that applies to all aspects of my life, including work. I like things done the right way, the first time, in the most efficient way possible. The job I have here at Little Works is so much more than a job. It’s a calling. Each day brings new adventures; it’s a place to continue learning new methods and techniques in the field. Most importantly, this place is a way to connect with families who want the best for their kids. Entering into the waiting room, most people would see the excitement on the therapist’s faces and how much fun their kids have. What many people don’t see are the opportunities that we as therapists are provided behind the scenes. The generosity Little Works has with its employees is far greater than any other facility I’ve worked at. (There is a reason I’ve stayed for 12 years.) This administration works day and night to provide us with the tools, education, and resources we need to make sure our clients get the best care. The toughest part of this job is the hustle…you have to be able to handle some face-paced moments. In the end, this type of environment has led me to manage my time very well, and it makes the day go by quickly. Everyone helps each other out over here. This. Place. Is. Amazing!!

  • Coming from a school climate to a Pediatric clinic was a change, but I absolutely love it! Clinicians readily step in and help one another when needed! The office staff is willing to sit, talk and come up with a game plan. Owners are readily available by email, text or phone calls to answer any and all questions/concerns. The best part of working at little works is to see the smiles on the kiddos face when they have accomplished a goal or experienced some type of success. The parents are eager to hear how individual sessions went and what they can do to assist their child at home. The climate and culture of the clinic is very positive. Everyone is treated fairly. But in the end, I fell it's definitely worth it, to see the progress and the many obstacles that these babies have overcome. This job is truly amazing. God definitely sent me here for a reason. I couldn't be more blessed.

  • As a military spouse and health care provider, who enjoys working, I was grateful that this clinic is in Leesville. I was glad for the opportunity to supervise COTAs, mentor other providers, and clinically educate students. Financial compensation was very good and the office manager and owners were very generous with their understanding regarding personal situations. They were supportive with continuing education opportunities and providing supplies and equipment when needed. There is a great need for services in this community so my caseload was frequently very full. I did feel like management respected my skill sets and valued my experience. Overall, I was grateful for the employment opportunity and chance to continue practicing as an occupational therapist during while at this duty station.

  • My coworkers are very supportive and encouraging. Feedback is welcomed and encouraged. They strive to fix problems and come up with solutions. Welcoming and understanding. Family oriented. Encouraging to engage and learn. Very hands on. The love for the job is seen through each and every one of the therapist! Communication among departments is present and carried on through every session.

  • I have been working at LWIP for about 6 months, and my experience here has been nothing short of amazing! The administrative team and technicians are very motivated and supportive. The ST/OT/ABA team's collaborate well. The owner's are also very supportive and make sure you feel heard. In short, I really enjoy this work environment, the client's and their families. They truly make my life and job easier!
